Photographs are bits of time that are frozen into each individual image, leaving a lasting photo for our memory. My style of photography is organic and untouched, letting moments happen naturally, along with some orchestration mixed in. During the day, I am a pre-school teacher, so naturally children and families are my expertise.
The natural world has always inspired me. I strive to be in nature as much as possible with my camera, creating organic images with natural light, that are seemingly rich and raw. I seek adventure and love the journey that follows when documenting my subjects. Wether it’s photographing your family or your wedding day, on this journey, I capture the essence of joy and pure bliss that unfolds.
I currently live in the small town of Fraser in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. For the six years that I’ve lived here, Fraser has brought out the best in me and has also taught me to face challenges head first. The mountains here have a sense of grandeur and mystery, which allows for a wonderfully intrinsic focal point and back drop when shooting. My goal is to show the beauty in nature and document my subjects organically within the natural world.
After I received my BFA in photography from Kendall College of art and design in Grand Rapids Michigan, I assisted several commercial photographers and have shot events, wedding, portraits and parties throughout the years. I am most interested in documenting lifestyle and portraiture photography, continually building a unique portfolio.
